Suspect comes forward in murder case Story by: Ryan Cummings KEVN FOX 7; Rapid City, South Dakota This story ran: Sunday April 27, 2004 A suspect is now under arrest in the disappearance and murder of Kristina Moore. Investigators say a 41-year-old man from Rapid Valley turned himself in Monday night. He's now charged with first degree murder. Officials say Monday evening around 7 o'clock, Neil Frame came to the Pennington County Public Safety building requesting to speak with an investigator. In a press conference held Tuesday, authorities said they believe the man they have in custody is the one responsible for Moore's death. "It was important," said Pennington County State's Attorney, Glenn Brenner, "to get across to the community that although this is an open investigation and a continuing investigation, as every case is, we want to make it very clear to the community, that we're confident in that we got the right guy and there isn't a killer on the loose." Lieutenant Lynn McLane with the Pennington County Sheriff's Office says autopsy results show that Moore was strangled. "As you know," remarked Lt. McLane, "we did conduct an autopsy yesterday morning and the results indicate that Kristina suffered a blow to the head but that her ultimate cause of death was due to strangulation." Frame made his initial court appearance this morning and the judge refused to set a bond, so he will remain in police custody. If convicted of first degree murder, he could face the death penalty.
