A group of young men selling magazines door to door in Butte were cited Feb. 21 for not having itinerant business licenses after complaints from residents.

Another man in the group was cited for violating child labor laws and endangering the welfare of a child for encouraging a 15-year-old Washington girl to run away and join their group.

Eric Baltrush, 21, Jeff Stout, 17, Francis Murphy, 20, and Robert Allen, 17, pleaded guilty Tuesday to violating Butte's business ordinances. Each was fined $270 and sen tenced to six months in jail with all the jail time suspend ed for the misdemeanor.

Baltrush listed his address as the state of Missouri and Robert Allen listed his address as Auburn, Wash. Stout and Murphy didn't list addresses. Jakob Berlingeri, 25, of Roseburg, Ore., drove the van the magazine sellers were using to get around town. He was cited for a misdemeanor labor law violation for employing the 15-year-old girl to sell magazines and misdemeanor endangering her welfare for helping some one under 16 old run away from home.

He was fined $545 and sen tenced to six months in jail with the jail time suspended.
