Wisconsin State Journal; Madison, Wis. Copyright Wisconsin State Journal Dec 7, 2002 Abstract: Jacob M. Baker was convicted in the death of Scott A. Cook. Jacob M. Baker, 27, was found guilty Thursday of vehicular homicide by a Columbia County Circuit Court jury. Baker was convicted in the death of Scott A. Cook, 42, of Wisconsin Dells, who died Jan. 26, after the van that Baker was driving crossed the center line on Highway 16 and struck Cook's car head-on. Baker is a traveling salesman with no permanent address. Judge Dan George ordered that Baker be held in the Columbia County Jail pending sentencing.
