Two men charged with robbing a Grand Island woman and a Central City boy in a local credit union's parking lot had their cases bound over to Hall County District Court Wednesday.

Adam N. Sisk, 20, waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday. He is charged with robbery and carrying a concealed knife.

Jeffrey L. Ritter, 21, waived his preliminary hearing on two counts, robbery and making terroristic threats. He had his preliminary hearing on a third count -- attempted first-degree sexual assault -- in the form of reports provided to the judge by the prosecuting attorney.

Ritter's attorney, Deputy Hall County Public Defender Jerry Fogarty, argued that Ritter only threatened to sexually assault Heather Marker, 23, of 2013 30th St., and he did not make an actual attempt. Fogarty said he thought Ritter's actions fell under the second count of making terroristic threats.

Hall County Judge David Bush disagreed with Fogarty and ruled that there was enough evidence provided in the reports to bind Ritter over on the third count as well.

Sisk and Ritter are charged with robbing Marker and David Galvan, 16, on Aug. 6 as they sat in a vehicle in the Central Nebraska Federal Credit Union's parking lot at 609 S. Locust St.

The men claimed to have guns and demanded Marker's rings and Galvan's money and lighter, Deputy Hall County Attorney Lisa Anderson said previously.

Ritter threatened to rape and kill Marker during the robbery, Anderson said.

Neither man has a permanent address. They told Bush during their initial appearances on Aug. 10 that they were selling magazines door to door and were staying at the Relax Inn, 507 W. Second St. They both also said they were originally from Minnesota.

When Sisk was arrested, police also arrested Jeremy Ritter, Jeffrey Ritter's brother, mistaking him for the man involved in the robbery. Jeffrey and Jeremy Ritter are identical twins with matching teardrop tattoos on their faces. Both men fit the description Marker and Galvan provided.

No charges were filed against Jeremy Ritter.

Sisk and Jeffrey Ritter will face district court arraignments at 9 a.m. Sept. 19.
